Balinale Winners Now Eligible for Oscar Consideration!

Exciting news for the Indonesian and international film community! The prestigious Bali International Film Festival (Balinale) has officially been recognized as an Academy Award® Qualifying Film Festival. This landmark achievement means that winners of Balinale’s Short Film Competition are now eligible for consideration in the Oscar® competition for Best Short Film.  

This significant recognition from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences elevates Balinale’s standing on the global stage, placing it alongside other esteemed international film festivals that hold this qualification. For over 18 years, Balinale has been a leading force in cultural and film industry expansion in the region, and this new status marks a significant step in its growth and influence.
